Billie's Gift and Xavi Bale collided soon after the start; checking both greyhounds.  Weblec Scorcher and Ring A Ranger collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn, checking Weblec Scorcher.  Xavi Bale and Northern Era collided on the first turn; checking both greyhounds, causing Xavi Bale to race wide.

Run Machine and Zipping Rafferty collided soon after the start, checking Run Machine.  Ozark Bale and Trending Rookie collided soon after the start, checking Trending Rookie.  Trending Rookie and Zipping Rafferty collided on the first turn, checking Zipping Rafferty.  Ozark Bale and Run Machine collided approaching the second turn and again approaching the third turn, checking Ozark Bale.  Ozark Bale checked off Affair Bit in the home straight.

Utah Express – Late scratching at 9:18 am when Mr Tim Britton reported the greyhound to have vomiting (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.  Stewards will follow up with trainer, Mr Tim Britton.

Eleora Bale – Late scratching at 4:03 pm when Ms Nicole Cachia reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Fernando Mick and Tiberia Bale collided soon after the start, checking Tiberia Bale.  Carry On Liam, Carry On Angel and Time For Peace collided approaching the first turn, checking Carry On Angel.  Carry On Liam and Jax Bale collided approaching the second turn.  Carry On Liam and Carry On Angel collided in the back straight, checking Carry On Liam.  Tiberia Bale and Jax Bale collided on the third turn, checking Tiberia Bale.

Kennel representative, Mr Thomas Dailly failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Gypsy Bun for racing.  A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

Mohawk Mork underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg calf injury.  A three day stand down period was imposed.

Chart Topper was slow to begin.

Keep It Blue and Roxy Ouzo collided soon after the start, checking Roxy Ouzo.  Keep It Blue crossed in on the first turn, checking Ask For More.  Aston Paisley and Oamaru Bale collided entering the back straight, checking Aston Paisley.  Ask For More and Roxy Ouzo collided approaching the third turn, checking Ask For More.  Chart Topper eased approaching the winning post.

Chart Topper underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg deltoid muscle injury, a five day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Robin Moore regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Chart Topper was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Moore pleaded not guilty to the charge, Chart Topper was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Code Blue Sue upon arrival at the course.

Speedy Bella was slow to begin.

Gemma Blue, Aston Corinna and Code Blue Sue collided soon after the start, checking Aston Corinna.  Rock Me Gorgeous, Digitorum and Crackerjack Dirt collided approaching the first turn, checking Digitorum.  Rock Me Gorgeous faltered on the first turn and tailed off.  Padrino Rocks and Crackerjack Dirt collided on the second turn, checking Crackerjack Dirt.  Crackerjack Dirt and Code Blue Sue collided entering the back straight, checking Code Blue Sue.  Aston Corinna marred Digitorum in the home straight.

Rock Me Gorgeous underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg back muscle injury.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Aston Corinna underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right hindleg calf and hamstrings injuries.  A seven day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr George Dailly, the handler of Aston Corinna regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Aston Corinna was charged with marring.  Mr Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Aston Corinna was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
