A pre-race sample was taken from Nicholas Rose.
Aston Rosa was quick to begin.
Double Dipping and Tiger's Twenty collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Mow A Meadow. Aston Rosa and Taylor's Jewel collided on the second turn. Will Do and Aston Rosa collided on the second turn checking Will Do. Double Dipping faltered and lost ground checking Tiger's Twenty entering the back straight. Double Dipping tailed off entering the back straight.
Double Dipping underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
