Steward's Report
Omega Gringo – Late scratching at 12.33pm when Mr Barry Harper reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Russian Sub.
Extra Speed and Tynslee Bale were quick to begin. Ollie was slow to begin.
Ollie and Russian Sub collided soon after the start. Zipping Hunter, Broady Lights and Ollie collided soon after the start. Zipping Hunter checked off Ollie on the first turn and lost ground. Extra Speed and Weblec Eagle collided on the second turn. Extra Speed, Tynslee Bale and Weblec Eagle collided approaching the third turn checking Tynslee Bale. Tynslee Bale and Broady Light collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.
Weblec Eagle underwent a post-race veterinary examination after a fall post the winning post. No apparent injury was reported.
