In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 26.0 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.5 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Annie Rose underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have and injury to the left hamstring and sand toe to both hind paws. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Mohinga Chase was slow to begin and collided with Nicholas Rose soon after the start. Colden Dayto and Aston Zephyr collided on the first turn. Aston Zephyr checked off Colden Dayto on the second turn. Grudge and Mohinga Chase collided on the second turn. Mohinga Chase checked off Grudge approaching the third turn.

Wynnum Star – New declared weight of 27.5 kg, last raced at 26.0 kg.

Sonny Daze, Wynnum Star and Rockstar Haynes collided soon after the start checking Wynnum Star and Rockstar Haynes. Sonny Daze and Knicks Bale collided approaching the first turn. Rockstar Haynes contacted the running rail on the first turn. Sonny Daze and Tron collided approaching the home turn. Sonny Daze, Knicks Bale and Rockstar Manners collided on the home turn.

Rockstar Haynes underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Flying Lantern - Late scratching at 11.06 am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr Tim Britton was fined $100.

Hill Top Jack was quick to begin.

Barefoot Barry and Aston Samurai collided soon after the start and again on the first turn. Kasey Anne tired in the home straight.

Dr Xander -The frequency of racing was discussed with kennel representative Mr M. Mcmahon, their comments were noted.

Fernando Mick, Dr. Xander and Aston Sonic were slow to begin.

Dr. Xander and Blueberry Hill collided soon after the start. Well Grounded and Dr. Xander collided in the front straight. Fernando Mick checked off Well Grounded approaching the first turn. Dr. Xander, Superstitious and Aston Sonic collided on the first turn. Fernando Mick and Blueberry Hill collided on the first turn. Dr Xander and Superstitious collided on the first turn causing Superstitious to falter and pull up; Superstitious took no further part in the running of this event. 

Dr. Xander underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hock. No stand down period was imposed.

Superstitious underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tarsal fracuture. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
