Aston Alpha checked off Shanlyn Kim approaching the first turn and collided with Aston Falcon and My Buddy Benny, checking Aston Falcon and My Buddy Benny, severely checking Aston Alpha. Aston Alpha underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Brendan Pursell regarding the racing manners of Aston Alpha approaching the first turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Pursell, viewing both angles of the race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
