A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Dutch Cookies, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.
On The Beers was slow to begin.
Dutch Cookies and On The Beers collided approaching the 300m mark. On The Beers checked off Dutch Cookies at the 300m mark. Dusty Knight and On The Beers collided approaching the 250m mark checking both greyhounds.Tumbarumba Time turned its head inwards from the 75m mark to the 50m mark. Riverhawk and Tumbarumba Time collided approaching the winning post.
Dutch Cookies underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainers request and was found to have an injury to the left triceps. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Tumbarumba Time underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right triceps and right pencil muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Ian Beattie, the trainer of Tumbarumba Time regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 75m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Tumbarumba Time was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Beattie pleaded guilty to the charge, Tumbarumba Time was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
