Dr. Wade was quick to begin.  Show Queen was slow to begin.  Run Topper and Darnum Blaze collided on the first turn checking Run Topper and severely checking Coalville Jewel.  Coalville Jewel raced wide in the home straight.  Darnum Blaze raced ungenerously approaching the winning post.

Darnum Blaze underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Handley regarding the racing manners of Darnum Blaze approaching the winning post.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Handley, viewing all available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.

Mt. View Entry was slow to begin.  Rock It Jed was checked off Confirm soon after the start.  Elswyk Storm and Rock It Jed collided approaching the first turn checking Elswyk Storm and Mt. View Entry. Dr. Archer was checked off Confirm on the home turn.  Elswyk Storm raced wide in the home straight.

Mt. View Entry underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right triangle muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Salana was quick to begin.  Queen Of Mojo was slow to begin.  Salana was checked off Flywheel Dolly approaching the first turn.  Blazing Bandit galloped on Dr. Bronte on the home turn and lost ground.  Bernice and Flywheel Dolly collided on the home turn checking Bernice.  Blazing Bandit and Queen Of Mojo collided entering the home straight.  Flywheel Dolly crossed out in the home straight and collided with Salana.

Tarlee was quick to begin.  High Priority was slow to begin.  Mt. View Shark and Berridale Gem collided soon after the start.  Dr. Topaz and Mt. View Shark collided on the first turn checking Dr. Topaz and Berridale Gem.  Dr. Topaz, Captain Goldie and High Priority collided on the home turn. High Priority was checked off Dr. Topaz entering the home straight.  High Priority and Dr. Topaz collided approaching the winning post.

This start of this event was delayed by approximately two and a half minutes due to a Bunbury harness race running late.
