A pre-race sample was taken from Happy Hannah.
Happy Hannah underwent a veterinary examination prior to racing and was passed fit to race.
Resurgence, Happy Ruby, Happy Hannah and Oamaru Bale collided on the first turn checking Resurgence. Happy Hannah and Resurgence collided entering the back straight. Zulu Eyes and Lala Grapefruit collided approaching the winning post severely checking Zulu Eyes which collided with Happy Ruby.
Zulu Eyes underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a small wound to the left elbow and suffered mild thumps. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards noted that the muzzle of Zulu Eyes became dislodged during the running of the event.
A post-race sample was taken from Jedda Milne - the winner of the event.
