Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Chief's Shout on 12/5/2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Chief's Shout was slow to begin.
Jimmy Goes Bang crossed out at the 250m mark and collided with Ultimate Mayhem. Chief's Shout faltered at the 250m mark and subsequently fell as a result.
Stewards held the All Clear for this event to check that the distance of the lure from the greyhounds was satisfactory. After viewing the finish photo, all the available race footage and acting on their observations, stewards were satisfied that the outcome of the event was not affected in any way. Stewards spoke to the lure driver and reminded him of his responsibilites and to drive to the lead dog at all times.
Chief's Shout underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey injury and a spike wound to the left wrist. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
There was no head-on vision available for this race.
