Steward's Report
Succession Plan - Late scratching at 10:11am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a right shin injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr F. Meyer, representative Mr T. Meyer and GRV Veterinary Officer Dr C. Balli regarding the late withdrawal of Succession Plan. Stewards were satisfied that the injury sustained to Succession Plan occurred in the vicinity of the carpark when the greyhound was being removed from the transport vehicle.
The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Diva Dot with kennel representative Mr Abraham Formosa, and noted their comments.
Half A Double and No Tickles were slow to begin.
Half A Double and Especial Edit collided approaching the 250m mark. No Tickles and Finlaystone collided at the 250m mark and again approaching the 200m mark. Half A Double, Especial Edit and Meehan Ziggy collided at the 150m mark causing Especial Edit to stumble. No Tickles and Finlaystone collided several times from the 150m mark to the 50m mark. Diva Dot and Finlaystone collided at the 50m mark checking Diva Dot.
Diva Dot underwent a post-race veterinary examination (frequency of racing) - no apparent injury was reported.
