Aston Percival checked off Astrolithology soon after the start. Astrolithology and Orcades collided soon after the start. Astrolithology, Aston Percival and Sagacious collided on the first turn, checking Astrolithology and Aston Percival. Sagacious galloped on the heels of Forbidden Loveon the first turn, checking Sagacious. Aston Percival and Astrolithology collided approaching the home turn, checking Aston Percival and severely checking Astrolithology. Sagacious checked off Orcades approaching the home turn.
Astrolithology underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
