All persons attending the venue today carried facemasks, observed social distance requirements and maintained room density quotients for the race meeting.
Two Pars was quick to begin.
Express Load crossed in soon after the start checking Mt. View Pearl and Blazing Burger. Call To Order eased approaching the winning post checking Blazing Burger. Diamond And Rust crossed in approaching the winning post.
Diamond And Rust underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Steven Van Oirschot regarding the greyhound's racing manners. After hearing evidence from Mr. Van Oirschot, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.
Call To Order underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind achillies, no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr. Peter Bartlett regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Call To Order was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Bartlett pleaded guilty to the charge, Call To Order was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
