Steward's Report
Henryk Bale – Late scratching at 2:55pm when Mr Luke Harris reported the greyhound to have changed Trainer/Owner (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Yussuf Bale was slow to begin.
Shen Bree Girl and Bit Twisted collided soon after the start. Shen Bree Girl, Double Dipping and Galloping Albi collided approaching the first turn. Off It's Chops and Shen Bree Girl collided on the first turn checking Shen Bree Girl severely checking Double Dipping and Teardrop. Bit Twisted checked off Galloping Albi on the first turn. Off It's Chops eased approaching the home turn, entering the home straight and turned its head inwards approaching the winning post, checking Galloping Albi.
Off It's Chops underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Representative, Ms Martina Kirillidis declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Stewards spoke to Ms. Kirillidis regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Off It's Chops was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Karillidis pleaded guilty to the charge, Off It's Chops was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
