Alabama Cruise was slow to begin.
Alabama Cruise and Two Up Tommy collided approaching the home turn. Eagle Boy and Alabama Cruise raced wide entering the home straight. Pacific Express and Patons Road collided approaching the winning post. A post-race sample was taken from Eagle Boy - winner of the event.
Butterfly Indee underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer's request and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind toe and an injury to the left fore toe. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
