Samples were taken from Ultimate Bling and So Predictable upon arrival at the course.

Samples were taken from Nadali and Marshall's King upon arrival at the course.

Marshall's King underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right shoulder joint and left hindleg torn nail injuries.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Nadali underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left pencil/whip and right hindleg triangle injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr B Pursell regarding its performance on the home turn. After considering the evidence from Mr Pursell, acting on their own observations and viewing the inconclusive video footage, Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Nadali must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

An out of competition sample was taken from California Gold on Thursday, 14 January 2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.

A pre-race sample was taken from La La Missouri.

Route Sixty Six and Grindylow collided soon after the start.  Impress Shades and California Gold collided soon after the start.  Impress Shades, California Gold, Weblec Storm, Route Sixty Six and Grindylow collided approaching the first turn; checking Weblec Storm and Route Sixty Six; Grindylow fell as a result.

Grindylow underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
