Steward's Report
All Staff & Participants attending the race-meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the Kennel Block and Associated Buildings and when engaged in the exclusive race-day functions of handling, boxing, starting & catching greyhounds.
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 23.4 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.8 degrees.The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Blazin' Cool and Red Nangana were slow to begin.
Peter Coin and On The Ritz collided several times from soon after the start to approaching the 250m mark checking both greyhounds. Blazin' Cool and Limitless Vodka collided approaching the 300m mark checking both greyhounds. Peter Coin and On The Ritz collided several times from approaching the 200m mark to the 200m mark checking both greyhounds.
Red Nangana underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
