Steward's Report
All staff & participants attending the race-meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race-day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.

Five Star was slow to begin.
Lenny Fox and Peaky Pub collided soon after the start. Aston Lavina galloped on Courageous Swan on the first turn, checking Courageous Swan. Peaky Pub checked off Aston Skylar on the first turn, checking Courageous Swan. Lenny Fox and Peaky Pub collided entering the back straight; checking Peaky Pub and Five Star. Courageous Swan checked off Aston Skylar in the back straight. Five Star checked off Peaky Pub approaching the home turn. Courageous Swan turned its head outwards and collided with Aston Skylar approaching the home turn, checking Aston Skylar. Aston Skylar and Courageous Swan collided several times entering the home straight; checking both greyhounds. Peaky Pub and Galloping Albi collided entering the home straight. Galloping Albi and Five Star collided in the home straight. Lenny Fox and Peaky Pub collided approaching the winning post.
Bodine underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right hindleg. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Peaky Pub underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Courageous Swan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg wrist injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler, Mrs J Greenough regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Courageous Swan was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Greenough pleaded not guilty to the charge, Courage Swan was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Bodine - the winner of the event.
