Steward's Report
Mepunga Holly and Smooth Talker collided on the first turn and again on the second turn checking Mepunga Holly which collided with Gardener's Boyo. Mac's A Million and My Father's Son collided on the second turn checking Mac's A Million. Lethal Image and Smooth Talker collided on the third turn and approaching the home turn checking Smooth Talker. Rezzie's Choice visibly eased and turned its head outwards and collided with Lethal Image in the home straight. Rezzie's Choice and Smooth Talker collided in the home straight.
Rezzie's Choice underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a slow recovery with an elevated temperature and thumps. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. B. Brown regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Rezzie's Choice was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Brown pleaded guilty to the charge, Rezzie's Choice was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
