The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 29.0 degrees and the kennel temperature was 16.9 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

Impress Venus and Key Effort collided approaching the first turn checking Key Effort which brushed the running rail and stumbled. Impress Venus and All Inn Chester collided on the home turn. Sceptic and Impress Venus collided entering the home straight checking Sceptic.

So Predictable was slow to begin. So Predictable and Fabriola Acai collided approaching the first turn. Dinkydi Lilly and College Degree collided approaching the first turn checking Dinkydi Lilly. Fabriola Acai and College Degree collided entering the home straight.

Aston Samara and College Boy collided soon after the start checking College Boy. Wioleta Bale, Oamaru Bale and Aston Samara collided approaching the first turn. La La Louis, Aston Samara, Wioleta Bale, Oamaru Bale, Follow The Que and College Boy collided on the first turn checking Oamaru Bale, Aston Samara and Follow The Que. Wioleta Bale and La La Louis collided approaching the home turn and on the home turn.

Aston Tribute – Late scratching at 14:01 due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Sammy McIvor was slow to begin. Aston Respect and All Inn Jasper collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn checking Aston Respect. Aston Respect and Sammy McIvor collided approaching the home turn.

Mepunga Holly and Smooth Talker collided on the first turn and again on the second turn checking Mepunga Holly which collided with Gardener's Boyo. Mac's A Million and My Father's Son collided on the second turn checking Mac's A Million. Lethal Image and Smooth Talker collided on the third turn and approaching the home turn checking Smooth Talker. Rezzie's Choice visibly eased and turned its head outwards and collided with Lethal Image in the home straight. Rezzie's Choice and Smooth Talker collided in the home straight.

Rezzie's Choice underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a slow recovery with an elevated temperature and thumps. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. B. Brown regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Rezzie's Choice was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Brown pleaded guilty to the charge, Rezzie's Choice was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Destini Catalina and Barooga Smoke collided approaching the first turn. Barooga Smoke and Aston Lopez collided on the first turn checking Aston Lopez. Barooga Smoke and Legendary Lass collided on the second turn. Havilah Kid and Aston Lopez collided on the second turn checking Aston Lopez.

Cornhill Tiger, Regal Missile, Aston Titan and Rev Up Rob collided on the first turn checking Aston Titan, Regal Missile and Cornhill Tiger. Deep Dive and Papi Go Fast collided on the first turn checking Deep Dive which collided with Rev Up Rob. Aston Titan contacted the running rail on the home turn and lost ground.

Aston Titan underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration behind the left eye. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

An out of competition sample was taken from Talented on 19 November 2020 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Soda Girl, Cornhill Rebel, Golden Teddy and Step Aside collided on the first turn checking Step Aside and Golden Teddy. Soda Girl clipped the heels of East Street entering the back straight. East Street, Speedy Jack and Armour Bale collided on the home turn. Speedy Jack clipped the heels of Armour Bale entering the home straight and collided with Soda Girl.

An out of competition sample was taken from Esmay on 12 November 2020 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Knuckle Buster was slow to begin. McIvor Bluey and Mod Squad collided approaching the first turn.

All Inn Dungee and On The Cash collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn. Cruisy's Special and Craggy Island collided on the first turn checking Cruisy's Special. Nessa's Zara clipped the heels of Typhoon Bolt approaching the home turn checking Nessa's Zara. Desiree Devere and Craggy Island collided on the home turn checking Craggy Island. Typhoon Bolt, Cruisy's Special and Craggy Island collided entering the home straight. Craggy Island and Lektra Jena collided entering the home straight and in the home straight. Nessa's Zara raced wide in the home straight.

Toyman Tim was quick to begin. Aston Logan, Pontiac Bandit and Empire Baz collided approaching the first turn. Flying Farrokh, Entranced and Grawlix collided on the first turn. Aston Logan, Pontiac Bandit and Empire Baz collided on the first turn checking Pontiac Bandit and Empire Baz. Grawlix and Entranced collided approaching the home turn checking Entranced. Entranced and Spring Blue collided on the home turn.
