Steward's Report
Lachie's Legacy was slow to begin.
Capra and Ride Along collided approaching the first turn checking Ride Along. Capra and It's A Shadow collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Father Phevos checked off Cool Bourbski in the front straight. Cool Bourbski and Aston Gwen collided on the second turn. Capra checked off It's A Shadow on the second turn checking Lachie's Legacy and causing Capra and Lachie's Legacy to race wide as a result. Capra checked off Lachie's Legacy entering the back straight. Capra lost ground in the back straight. Cool Bourbski and Father Phevos collided on the fourth turn. Father Phevos turned its head outwards in the home straight.
Capra underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right pectoral muscle and left shoulder. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Father Phevos underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left triangle muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr G. Neocleous regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Father Phevos was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Neocleous pleaded guilty to the charge, Father Phevos was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
