Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance withGAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to andcontinue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 &6,followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Miss Coby Moss checked off Masalki on the first turn. Barellen Rae and Masalki collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Barellen Rae and Bye All Means collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Inky's Fireball and Glenn's Angel collided several times in the home straight.

Glenn's Angel underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Magic Daisy and Head Bouncer were slow to begin.

Sonic Rainboom checked off Roller Derby approaching the first turn. Roller Derby and Queen Lisa collided on the home turn checking Queen Lisa. Gem Victoren, Magic Daisy and Head Bouncer collide on the home turn checking all three greyhounds. Magic Daisy turned it's head outwards entering the home straight.

Magic Daisy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and declined re-examination. No apparent injury was found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Peter Bartlett, the representative of Magic Daisy regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Magic Daisy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Bartlett pleaded guilty to the charge, Magic Daisy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Glory Road.

Aston Sofia was quick to begin.

Titanium Teeghan and Aqua Percy collided entering the home straight.

The start of this race was initially delayed (and racing suspende) due to local power outages in the wider Bendigo area which effected operations at the Bendigo greyhound track.  Authorities advised that power would not be expected to be restored to the area until 6.30pm. Therefore, the Stewards made the decision, in consultation with BGRC Management, to abandon the race meeting in accordance with GAR 57 (4), at 4.15pm. The weights recorded today for those greyhounds in Races 4-12 who did not fulfil their engagement, are void. The weight recorded at each greyhounds last official race start is the weight used to determine eligibility in upcoming events, in accordance with weight rules.
