National Time was slow to begin. Trail Blazing and Southwood Lexie collided soon after the start. Cosmic Station, Miss Kia Ora, Kiss Me Ketut, Trail Blazing and Southwood Lexie collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Kia Ora, Kiss Me Ketut and Carbon Neutral. Southwood Lexie and Carbon Neutral collided approaching the first turn. Kiss Me Ketut, Southwood Lexie, National Time and Carbon Neutral collided on the first turn checking Southwood Lexie. Cosmic Station checked off Trail Blazing on the first turn. Kiss Me Ketut and Alderaan collided approaching the home turn. Miss Kia Ora galloped on the heels of Alderaan approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Kiss Me Ketut, Miss Kia Ora, Carbon Neutral and National Time collided approaching the home turn severely checking Miss Kia Ora and checking National Time, Carbon Neutral and Southwood Lexie. Carbon Neutral checked off Southwood Lexie on the home turn. Southwood Lexie and Alderaan collided approaching the winning post.
