Come On Serenity and Big Bash Healy collided soon after the start. Braemar Sassy, She's A Charm and Chiocci collided soon after the start. Chiocci and Come On Serenity collided at the 250m mark. Come On Serenity and Big Bash Healy collided approaching the 200m mark. Big Bash Healy and Sweltering collided approaching the winning post. Sweltering eased and turned its head to the inside approaching the winning post. Big Bash Healy eased and turned its head to the inside approaching the winning post.
Big Bash Healy underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr David Willcocks, the representative of Big Bash Healy regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Big Bash Healy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Willcocks pleaded not guilty to the charge, Big Bash Healy was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Sweltering underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a cervico-thoracic injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Davide Fasoli, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Sweltering was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Fasoli pleaded guilty to the charge, Sweltering must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Premier Maggie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Geoffrey Fisher, the Representative of Premier Maggie and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.
