Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Brock's Boy - Late scratching at 9:53am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a left back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Raglan Viper and Insidious Rio collided soon after the start checking Raglan Viper and Midnight Drifter. Remember Jimmy crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Insidious Rio and severely checking Boes Bandit. Insidious Rio crossed to the rail approaching the 200m mark. Midnight Drifter and Raglan Viper collided approaching the 150m mark checking Midnight Drifter which stumbled. Remember Jimmy raced wide throughout the event. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Maybe Sienna.

Especially Eager was quick to begin. Boes High Five was slow to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start.

Maybe Sienna and Rylee's Boy collided soon after the start. Boes Reward raced wide approaching the 100m mark, causing Boes High Five to gallop on Boes Reward, severely checking Boes High Five. Rylee's Boy and Especially Eager collided approaching the winning post. Rylee's Boy, Especially Eager and One Double Beat collided approaching the winning post.

Boes High Five underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind sesamoid injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Chiocci.

Come On Serenity and Big Bash Healy collided soon after the start. Braemar Sassy, She's A Charm and Chiocci collided soon after the start. Chiocci and Come On Serenity collided at the 250m mark. Come On Serenity and Big Bash Healy collided approaching the 200m mark. Big Bash Healy and Sweltering collided approaching the winning post. Sweltering eased and turned its head to the inside approaching the winning post. Big Bash Healy eased and turned its head to the inside approaching the winning post.

Big Bash Healy underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr David Willcocks, the representative of Big Bash Healy regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Big Bash Healy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Willcocks pleaded not guilty to the charge, Big Bash Healy was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Sweltering underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a cervico-thoracic injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Davide Fasoli, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Sweltering was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Fasoli pleaded guilty to the charge, Sweltering must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Premier Maggie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Geoffrey Fisher, the Representative of Premier Maggie and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Symbol For You.

Spot On Mick and Symbol For You were slow to begin.

Spot On Mick crossed to the outside at the 300m mark. Maximum Capers and Matilda Tilly collided approaching the 250m mark.

Electric Hippy and Flossy Lee were slow to begin.

Tui crossed to the rail soon after the start. Fun Time Mikado and Terrah Round collided several times from the 200m mark to the 100m mark checking both greyhounds. Flossy Lee crossed in approaching the 100m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Samp De Keats.

Kareda Gold and Angry Answer were quick to begin.

Kareda Gold crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Ryder Sir. Samp De Keats checked off Aron Allen at the 300m mark, both greyhounds raced wide. Kareda Gold checked off Angry Answer approaching the winning post.

Aron Allen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right hind thigh and back muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Nowhere Nathe and Winlock Squints collided soon after the start. Tibby Shore and Winlock Squints collided at the 250m mark and again at the 200m mark. Madel's Fire checked off Kireina at the 200m mark. Winlock Squints checked off Ishmy Barry approaching the 100m mark. Mabel's Fire checked off Aquileia approaching the 50m mark.

Winlock Squints underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind thigh injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Big Flash Marjen and Mad Eye Madam were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Meehan Pebbles and Sideshow Marjen collided soon after the start. Meehan Pebbles and Big Flash Marjen crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark. Flashy De Goey checked off Big Flash Marjen at the 250m mark. Mad Eye Madam checked off What's Up Skip approaching the 50m mark.

Bombardier King and Thunderbolt Jack were slow to begin.

Thunderbolt Jack crossed to the rail soon after the start. Bombardier King crossed to the outside soon after the start. Aston Guinness and Indominus collided at the 300m mark. Indominus crossed to the outside approaching the 200m mark and checked off Kalter.

Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr Brian Buchanan and catcher Ms Nicole Lummas after it was established that Now And Then did not have a catcher for this event. Stewards issued a warning to Ms Lummas for failing to catch the greyhound pursuant to GAR 86(o).

Blue Irish went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Courtney Lee crossed to the outside soon after the start. Pharoah's Dream and Anna Victorem collided soon after the start. Ginny Wolf checked off Small Rose at the 250m mark. Pharoah's Dream and Gene Man collided approaching the 200m mark and again at the 200m mark.

Blue Irish underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a abrasions to the left and right front toes. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
