Steward's Report
Madalia Champ was slow to begin. Zambora Smokey, Sandy Gem and Zipping Samara collided approaching the first turn severely checking Sandy Gem which subsequently tailed off. Zambora Smokey and Zipping Samara collided from the first turn to the home turn checking both greyhounds. Baileys On Ice and Flywheel Bella collided on the home turn.
Zambora Smokey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind triangle muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Sandy Gem underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Carrie - winner of the event.
