Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Infra Fortune and Supercomputer were slow to begin.  Infra Fortune and Shell Star Keats collided approaching the first turn.  Shell Star Keats galloped on Dr. Carmel on the first turn checking Dr. Carmel.  Shell Star Keats and Supercomputer collided approaching the home turn.  Dr. Carmel crossed out entering the home straight checking Infra Fortune.

Dr. Santiago was quick to begin.  Interrogate went up with the lids at boxrise and was slow to begin.  Lakeview Lilly and Sugar Plum Fairy collided approaching the first turn.  Lakeview Lilly contacted the running rail on the first turn.  Shotgun Shannon crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Dr. Serenity.  Sugar Plum Fairy checked off Dr. Serenity on the first turn and again on the home turn.

Lakeview Lilly underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the left thigh.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Crumlin was quick to begin.  Coalville King was slow to begin.   Lakeview Walter crossed in approaching the first turn checking Somerton Rose and Pearl's Entity.  Somerton Rose and Pearl's Entity collided on the first turn.  Crumlin and Lakeview Cruiser collided on the first turn.  Pearl's Entity checked off Somerton Rose approaching the home turn.  Somerton Rose and Pearl's Entity collided on the home turn and again approaching the winning post.

Pearl's Entity underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a dislocated right hind toe . A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning pursuant to GAR 27(1) to Ms. Kathleen Fogarty after the greyhound, Madalia Pixie escaped during kennelling.  After hearing submissions from Ms. Fogarty a warning was issued in accordance with GAR 27(1).

He Shall Power and Lockwood Lad were slow to begin.  Star Ballerina, She Wiggles and Lot Coin Babe collided soon after the start checking Lot Coin Babe.  He Shall Power and She Wiggles collided on the first turn.  She Wiggles and Star Ballerina collided on the first turn.  Lot Coin Babe and Lockwood Lad collided on the home turn.  Lump Sum and He Shall Power collided entering the home straight.  Aston Kipchoge and He Shall Power collided approaching the winning post.

Tickle My Fancy was quick to begin.  Slick Paws and Smarty Pants were slow to begin.  Dr. Luna and What's Up Skip collided on the first turn checking What's Up Skip and Slick Paws.  Dr. Luna checked off Smarty Pants on the first turn and collided with Slick Paws.  What's Up Skip and Slick Paws collided on the first turn.

Madalia Champ was slow to begin.  Zambora Smokey, Sandy Gem and Zipping Samara collided approaching the first turn severely checking Sandy Gem which subsequently tailed off.  Zambora Smokey and Zipping Samara collided from the first turn to the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Baileys On Ice and Flywheel Bella collided on the home turn.

Zambora Smokey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind triangle muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Sandy Gem underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Run Robyn Run was slow to begin.  David Coin and Bring Your Banjo collided on the first turn.  Sweet Demi checked off David Coin entering the back straight and collided with Run Robyn Run checking Sweet Demi and Run Robyn Run.  Kasey Anne and Leo Rose collided entering the back straight checking Kasey Anne.  Leo Rose galloped on Sweet Demi on the home turn.  David Coin and Run Robyn Run collided on the home turn and in the home straight.  Bring Your Banjo tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Bring Your Banjo underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Dr. Lynch was quick to begin.  Too Be Sure was slow to begin.  Lara's Love and Campanita collided approaching the first turn checking Campanita. Dynamite Des and Lara's Love collided on the first turn.  Dynamite Des and Dr. Lynch collided approaching the home turn.  Lara's Love and Campanita collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Campanita visibly eased and turned it's head inwards in the home straight and collided with Lara's Love.

Campanita underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.  Ms. Jones declined the option of having the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Ms. Carolyn Jones, the trainer of Campanita regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Campanita was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Ms. Jones pleaded guilty to the charge, Campanita was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(A)(2)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
