Steward's Report
Melanistic was very slow to begin (7L). Lori Love was quick to begin.
Lori Love crossed out soon after the start checking Darley Park, Steel Magnolia and Zambora Andy. Zambora Andy crossed in approaching the 300m mark.
Stewards spoke to Mr Gregory Tatti (via telephone), the Trainer of Melanistic after he left the course without Stewards permission and without having the greyhound vetted following the event. Stewards issued Mr Tatti with a warning pursuant to GAR 42(2) and directed him to produce Melanistic, later that day, at the Cranbourne Greyhound Racing Club meeting on 25 September 2020 for a veterinary examination.
Stewards established that Melanistic was laying down in the starting boxes at box rise and subsequently took no competitive part in the event. Stewards spoke to Mr Gregory Tatti (via telephone), the trainer of Melanistic, regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Melanistic must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Supplementary Report:
Mr Gregory TattI presented Melanistic at the Cranbourne Greyhound Racing Club Meeting on 25 September 2020 for a Veterinary examination. There was no apparent injury reported.
