Lump Sum was slow to begin.
Aston Kipchoge, Lonnie Loot and Ton Eighty collided soon after the start. Ton Eighty checked off Lonnie Loot approaching the first turn. Lump Sum and Aston Kipchoge collided on the first turn and again in the front straight. Pure Quality and Just Cruising collided in the front straight. Lump Sum, Aston Kipchoge and Ton Eighty collided on the second turn. Aston Kipchoge and Ton Eighty collided on the third turn checking Ton Eighty. Just Cruising checked off Simmons in the back straight. Ton Eight and Just Cruising collided approaching the home turn. Lump Sum and Aston Kipchoge collided approaching the winning post.
