Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Slim Girl, How's It Alice and Sand Dance collided at the 300m mark. Slim Girl and How's It Alice collided several times from approaching the 250m mark to approaching the 200m mark checking both greyhounds. Sand Dance and Maxi Mal collided at the 100m mark. Sand Dance checked off Maxi Mal approaching the winning post. Slim Girl and Mt. View Nancy collided approaching the winning post.

Market Steal, Hartland Gus and Mt. View Sassy collided soon after the start. Stagger Bott, Market Steal, Hartland Gus and Mt. View Sassy collided at the 250m mark checking All Image. Stagger Bott, Hartland Gus and Jonah Alcatraz collided at the 200m mark. Cold Streak checked off Stagger Bott at the 175m mark. Stagger Bott and Jonah Alcatraz collided several times from the 150m mark to approaching the winning post. 

Stagger Bott underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Lucas Booth, the trainer of Stagger Bott, regarding the greyhounds racing manners from the 150m mark to approaching the winning post. After viewing the head on footage and taking into consideration interference received from Jonah Alcatraz, Stewards issued a warning for the greyhounds racing manners at the 50m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Retro Reece.

Frainy's Well and Hot Streak collided soon after the start. Ray's Boy and Magic Indeed collided soon after the start. Benefit Summary, Frainy's Well and Hot Streak collided at the 275m mark. Double Zero, Benefit Summary and Hot Streak collided at the 250m mark. Ray's Boy and Magic Indeed collided at the 225m mark. Double Zero and Benefit Summary collided at the 100m mark. Hot Streak galloped on Retro Reece several times approaching the winning post. Retro Reece crossed to the outside approaching the winning post causing Retro Reece, Hot Streak, Ray's Boy, Frainy's Well and Magic Indeed to collide, checking Double Zero.

Retro Reece underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left deltoid injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Trevor Whitford, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. After taking into consideration interference received from behind from Hot Streak, Stewards issued a warning for the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.

Eddie Lee - Late scratching by Order of Stewards (Non Penalty)  at 12:08pm pursuant to GAR 20(4)(b) after the greyhound contacted the lure while parading to the boxes for this event.

This event was delayed by approximately 5 minutes due to the late scratching of Eddie Lee.

Pure Profit was quick to begin. Spring Nugget was slow to begin.

Courage Crest and Nix Jakit collided approaching the 200m mark checking Courage Crest. Courage Crest checked off Phoebe's Angel approaching the 50m mark.

Stewards spoke to the Handler of Eddie Lee, Mr Kenneth Kubik regarding the incident where his greyhound contacted the lure during the parading on the track. Stewards accepted Mr Kubik's version of events, however issued a warning to Mr. Kubik pursuant to GAR 27(1) in that he did not have proper control of his greyhound for this event.

Aston Cabernet and Our Daisy Girl collided soon after the start. Darley Park and Love A Talk collided soon after the start. Our Girl Daisy, Early Special and Ryben Jack collided at the 175m mark. Love A Talk checked off Darley Park, checking Lucky Paws, at the 150m mark . Aston Cabernet and Love A Talk collided at the 100m mark checking Aston Cabernet. Our Girl Daisy and Ryben Jack collided at the 50m mark.

Madame Duggie, Fried White Bait, Shirdale Tom and Zambora Andy collided soon after the start. Madame Duggie, Shirdale Tom and Zambora Andy collided at the 275m mark. Just Jimmy crossed in at the 200m mark and collided with Fried White Bait, Shirdale Tom and Zambora Andy, checking Fried White Bait. Madame Duggie and Shirdale Tom collided at the 150m mark and numerous times approaching the winning post.

Luboko and Market Bob collided at the 150m mark and again at the 75m mark.

Bruce Wellington requested an early race endorsement for Luboko. The endorsement was approved for Luboko after an examination prior to racing by the on-track veterinarian. Stewards directed the greyhound compete in Early Races only until further notice.

Scraping Paint and Kawhi were slow to begin.

Boes Rose, Mt. View Rocks and Kawhi collided at the 300m mark checking Mt. View Rocks. Scraping Paint and Mt. View Rocks collided at the 300m mark. Boes Rose, Chill Out Dusty, Steel Magnolia and Melanistic collided at the 275m mark. Southern Edge and Scraping Paint collided at the 100m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Braemar Sassy.

Boes Bandit - Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 52. 

Travel Easy and Swedish Duchess collided at the 250m mark. Swedish Duchess crossed to the outside at the 225m mark. Kanga Lights and Boes Bandit collided at the 150m mark.

Braemar Sassy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Just The Marjen.

Front Bar and Just The Marjen collided soon after the start. Mister Wingard, Aston Camille and Victory Chico collided soon after the start. Crackerjack Baz checked off Queen Of Promise at the 250m mark. Crackerjack Baz checked off Just The Marjen at the 225m mark. Front Bar and Crackerjack Baz collided several times from the 150m mark to the 100m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dr. Mick.

Too Much Talking, Saharrah Blitz, Goofey Express and Market Charlie collided soon after the start. Grand Giveaway crossed to the outside at the 200m mark and collided with Too Much Talking and Market Charlie. Market Charlie marred Grand Giveaway at the 50m mark.

Market Charlie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury and a right hock spike wound. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Darren Burkett, the trainer of Market Charlie regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 50m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Market Charlie was charged with marring. Mr Burkett pleaded not guilty to the charge, Market Charlie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dust Up was slow to begin.

Lektra Kez and Tex Burger collided several times soon after the start. Polly's Varcoe checked off Lektra Kez at the 200m mark. Ishmy Barry and Lektra Kez collided at the 175m mark. Inter Joe and Kurtlee Bale collided at the 150m mark. Polly's Varcoe crossed to the outside at the 100m mark and collided with Tex Burger. Polly's Varcoe and Tex Burger collided several times over the concluding stages of the event.

Inter Joe was ordered to wear an Anti-Aggression muzzle in all future events in accordance with GAR 71A.
