A pre-race sample was taken from So They Say.
Urana Duke and Notorious Jiggs collided soon after the start. Side Splitting, Joking Bear and So They Say collided several times from soon after the start to the 250m mark checking Joking Bear and So They Say. Notorious Jiggs and So They Say collided several times approaching the 150m mark. So They Say marred Notorious Jiggs approaching the 100m mark and collided several times checking both greyhounds. Side Splitting and So They Say collided several times approaching the winning post.
So They Say underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right thigh muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr C. Tilley, the trainer of So They Say, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 100m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) So They Say was charged with marring. Mr Tilley pleaded guilty to the charge, So They Say is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
