Pirate Lee and Smooth Onyx collided on the first turn. Gotham Princess visibly eased and shifted out approaching the home turn checking Tango Icon and Blueberry Hill. Gotham Princess, Pirate Lee and Lainey Basil collided on the home turn. Tango Icon and Blueberry Hill collided on the home turn checking Blueberry Hill. Gotham Princess underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind paw and a right hip injury. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms. M. Lithgow, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Gotham Princess was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Lithgow pleaded guilty to the charge, Gotham Princess must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
