Steward's Report
Patriot Lincoln – New declared weight of 35.9 kgs, last raced at 34.5 kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Parumba Barty.
Forever Nineteen and Patriot Lincoln were slow to begin.
Ishmy Neecy and Parumba Barty collided at the 250m mark, checking both greyhounds. Just The Marjen and Parumba Barty collided at the 200m mark, checking Parumba Barty. Forever Nineteen lost ground from the 200m mark.
Forever Nineteen underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right foreleg wrist and right hindleg pencil/whip injuries. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Mr B Keel was issued with a warning after the greyhound, Patriot Lincoln was negligently (GAR 86(o)) placed in the incorrect kennel during the kenneling process.
Stewards spoke with trainer, Mr T Duncan after there was significant market support for All Inn Billy in today's event. Mr Duncan stated that the greyhound had trialled well and was unlucky last start. He expected All Inn Billy to run well in today's event. He further stated that he did not have a wager on All Inn Billy today. Stewards accepted Mr Duncan's explanation and directed that a post-race sample be taken from All Inn Billy for analysis.
