Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Zipping Whoopi shifted in soon after the start checking Rockstar Ruby. Here To Help and Farmor Watchers collided soon after the start. Slick Intention and California Gold collided soon after the start. Here To Help, Farmor Watchers and Zipping Whoopi collided approaching the first turn severely checking Here To Help. Slick Intention crossed to the rails on the first turn checking Rockstar Ruby and Zipping Whoopi. Slick Intention galloped on California Gold on the third turn and collided with Yeah Easy. Yeah Easy checked off California Gold on the third turn severely checking Rockstar Ruby, Zipping Whoopi, Yeah Easy and Slick Intention. Rockstar Ruby and Zipping Whoopi collided approaching the home turn.

Here To Help underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the left foreleg and split nail on the right foreleg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Yeah Easy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the right hindleg. No stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Brinlee. 

Moodswing Tarny and Aston Spinel collided on the first turn and raced wide. Brinlee raced wide in the front straight. Finniss Vision, Lump Sum and Brinlee collided on the fourth turn checking Finniss Vision. Brinlee and Aston Spinel collided on the home turn and again several times in the home straight. Moodswing Tarny raced wide throughout the event. 

Stewards spoke to Ms Callie Wilson, the representative for Aston Spinel and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the second turn. 

A post-race sample was taken from Ultra Lightbeam, the winner of the event.

One Babe – New declared weight of 27.8kgs, last raced at 28.9kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Galaxy Queen. 

Lawson Drive and One Babe were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.

One Babe and Aston Kipchoge collided approaching the first turn. Galaxy Queen crossed to the outside on the first turn and raced wide checking Galloping Occy. Aston Kipchoge checked off Deed's Delight approaching the third turn. Galaxy Queen and Deed's Delight collided on the third turn. Galaxy Queen raced wide on the home turn. Deed's Delight and Aston Kipchoge collided in the home straight. 

Deed's Delight underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have soreness in the Lumbo- Sacral and a spike wound on the right hindleg. No stand down period was imposed.

Summer Girl was quick to begin. 

Awesome Grit and Nangar Rippa collided on the first turn. Hot Finish and Gypsy Hook collided on the first turn. Summer Girl and Hot Finish collided on the third turn checking Summer Girl. Handsome and Gyspy Hook collided on the third turn checking Nangar Rippa. 

Take The Lead, Brave Traveller and Knockout Fantasy collided soon after the start. Patches Colour and Zipping Annabel collided soon after the start. Another Rupee and Brave Traveller collided on the first turn checking Another Rupee. Take The Lead and Brave Traveller collided on the first turn. Patches Colour checked off Fernandes approaching the second turn. Knockout Fantasy checked off Patches Colour on the second turn. Brave Traveller and Knockout Fantasy collided entering the back straight. Zipping Annabel checked off Patches Colour on the third turn.

Burn Time was slow to begin. 

Burn Time, I'm The Poppet and Jayville Slick collided on the first turn checking Burn Time and I'm The Poppet. Cabin Fever and Keefe collided on the second turn. Go Commando checked off Jayville Slick entering the home straight.

Golden Shiraz was quick to begin. 

Suvla Bay crossed to the rails soon after the start checking Invictus Roy, Shanlyn Charlotte, Headwall, I'm Not Budging and Shanlyn Rob. Shanlyn Rob checked off Suvla Bay on the first turn. Suvla Bay and Kilpatrick collided on the second turn. 

My Oh Fernando and All's Grand collided soon after the start. My Oh Fernando, All's Grand and Savannah Lee collided on the first turn checking Razor Roy, All's Grand and Savannah Lee. Dazzle and All's Grand collided on the third turn checking Dazzle. 

All's Grand underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the right fore foot. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Dazzle underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Robin Moore, the trainer of Dazzle regarding thw greyhound's performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71, Dazzle must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Zambora Clown.

Foxzami Thriller and Lethal Image collided on the first turn. New Punchline and Wonderful World collided on the first turn. Shamrock Boy checked off Foxzami Thriller entering the front straight. New Punchline and Foxzami Thriller collided on the third turn. Shamrock Boy checked off Lethal Image on the third turn. 

Foxzami Thriller underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the right hind foot. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to the trainer of the greyhound Mr Cooper Hayes regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the third turn and took no further action.

Snake Pit Lass, Mombasa and Sweet Impala collided approaching the first turn causing Sweet Impala, Dundee Jazz and Agent Levi to collide, checking Agent Levi. Snake Pit Lass, Mombasa, Sweet Impala and Dundee Jazz collided entering the front straight checking Sweet Impala. Snake Pit Lass faltered on the third turn and subsequently pulled up. Sweet Impala shifted out and collided with Mombasa approaching the home turn. Agent Levi turned its head and collided with Sweet Impala approaching the home turn.

Snake Pit Lass underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture and lacerations on the left fore and left hindlegs. A 90 day stand down period was imposed. 

Sweet Impala underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the lumbo- sacral and right groin muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Joe Borg, the trainer of Sweet Impala and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. 

Agent Levi underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle muscle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Leslie Hughes regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Agent Levi was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Hughes pleaded guilty to the charge; Agent Levi must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 3 minutes due to a power failure to the lure prior to the race.

Go Tango, Lady Bang Bang, Chasing Beers and Dreamy Eyes collided on the third turn checking Lady Bang Bang, Chasing Beers, Dreamy Eyes and Grudge. Lady Bang Bang and Grudge collided approaching the home turn. Dreamy Eyes checked off Chasing Beers in the home straight.
