Almapa Gallucci, Regal Duke and She Got Fire were slow to begin.
Almapa Gallucci contacted the running rail approaching the first turn. Violets Are Red checked off Onya Jakit on the first turn causing Violets Are Red and New Fire Girl to collide; checking Violets Are Red, She Got Fire and New Fire Girl.
Almapa Gallucci underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left calf muscle injury and bruising to the left thigh. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
