Steward's Report
Stewards discussed the frequency of racing for Yondu with Jason Formosa (trainer) and noted his comments.
A pre-race sample was taken from Flash Angel.
Know Success was quick to begin.
Yondu, Bad Words, Flash Angel and Maggie Pie collided soon after the start checking, Yondu, Bad Words and Flash Angel. Yondu checked off Bad Words approaching the first turn. Bad Words and Flash Angel collided approaching the first turn checking, Bad Words. Aston Ando checked off Bob's Brew on the first turn. Aston Ando and Flash Angel collided on the home turn. Yondu raced wide entering the home straight.
Yondu underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Bad Words underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 10, no apparent injury could be detected.
Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Fitzgerald, the handler / representative of Bad Words and advised him to notify stewards as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the performance of Bad Words, pursuant to GAR 75(1).
Trainer Scott Mckenzie advised stewards on Tuesday July 14 that Bad Words displayed soreness in the right shoulder.
