Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Sweet Antares, Black Rocks and Rock On John collided approaching the first turn.  Sweet Antares checked off Rock On John on the first turn and collided with Ovens Angler, severely checking both greyhounds.  Rock On John, Our Missy Grace and Lawson Drive collided on the home turn.

Wallbanger was slow to begin.

Thriving and Weblec Ace collided soon after the start.  Christo Bale, Tough Tears and Run Like Jess collided on the first turn.  True Detective, Thriving and Weblec Ace collided entering the front straight.  True Detective, Thriving, Weblec Ace and Run Like Jess collided on the second turn.  True Detective visibly eased and turned its head inwards in the home straight.

True Detective underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey and deltoid muscle injuries, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr James Shaw, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), True Detective was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Shaw pleaded guilty to the charge, True Detective must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Zekel Bale was quick to begin.

Dewana Classic, Look Fancy Nancy and He Shall Power collided soon after the start.  Seve Rose and Euro Bro collided approaching the second turn checking Seve Rose.  My Father's Son checked off Zekel Bale approaching the third turn.  My Father's Son and He Shall Power collided on the third turn checking He Shall Power.  Zekel Bale and Euro Bro collided on the fifth turn.

War Creek was slow to begin.

Zambora Smokey, Shanlyn Charlott and Sudden Force collided on the first turn checking Yozo Bale, Talulah Bale, severely checking Sudden Force and Rock Me David.  

Sudden Force underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
