Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Starter Mr. R. Glass did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Ace Victorem – New declared weight of 36.8kg last raced at 38.2kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Honey Eclipse.
Cobber Victorem was quick to begin. Honey Eclipse contacted the running rail approaching the first turn. Cobber Victorem, All Of Us and Red Wine Fever collided on the first turn. Magic Jet and Red Wine Fever collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
When questioned, Trainer S. Melville (More Wit) explained that the greyhound had been racing well without luck, including being checked on a number of occasions at its most recent start. Mr Melville also explained that the greyhound was able to obtain a clear run in today's event enabling it to run up to its ability. The comments of Mr Melville were noted.
Honey Eclipse underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
All Of Us underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
