Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Hindi's Chance, Rhonda's Delight and Huntly Star collided soon after the start checking Rhonda's Delight. Kraken Thunder checked off Iceni Thunder on the first turn. Kraken Thunder checked off Sedona on the home turn. Gifted One checked off Iceni Hunter on the home turn. Gifted One and Huntly Star collided entering the home straight and in the home straight.

Hindi's Chance underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left calf area. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Market Legend checked off Aston Ensley soon after the start. Charmed checked off Aston Ensley on the first turn. Market Legend checked off Armani Arby entering the home straight.

American Missile and Dakar were slow to begin.

Ice Cold Yug and Zipping Stan collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Kenita checked off Dakar on the first turn. All Inn Redman and Scarlatto collided on the home turn. Ice Cold Yug checked off Scarlatto entering the home straight.

Jodie's Boy was slow to begin.

Nonna Josie brushed the running rail on the first turn. Low Planes and Jodie's Boy collided entering the home straight.

Bad Guy, Paua Of Oscar, You Fugitive and Gleeson collided on the first turn severely checking all four greyhounds and causing You Fugitive and Gleeson to fall.

Stewards considered the racing manners of Bad Guy on the first turn, however after viewing the incident that took place in which Gleeson and You Fugitive fell, no further action was taken.

Bad Guy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left elbow and metatarsal area. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

You Fugitive underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left scapula and metacarpal and soreness in the right hock, right thigh and left shoulder. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Gleeson underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left scapula injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Ace Victorem – New declared weight of 36.8kg last raced at 38.2kg.

Cobber Victorem was quick to begin. Honey Eclipse contacted the running rail approaching the first turn. Cobber Victorem, All Of Us and Red Wine Fever collided on the first turn. Magic Jet and Red Wine Fever collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

When questioned, Trainer S. Melville (More Wit) explained that the greyhound had been racing well without luck, including being checked on a number of occasions at its most recent start. Mr Melville also explained that the greyhound was able to obtain a clear run in today's event enabling it to run up to its ability.  The comments of Mr Melville were noted.

Honey Eclipse underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

All Of Us underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

What's His Caper lost ground approaching the first turn. Last Night checked off Crazy Old Fool in the home straight.

What's His Caper underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to te left hock and groin. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Oriental Gale and Ginny Woolf were quick to begin. Midnight Bling and Angry Answer collided soon after the start checking Midnight Bling and Bob's Malow. Jitterbug Witch and Midnight Bling collided approaching the winning post.
