Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Preceding the first race a heavy down pour occurred.  Stewards inspected the track and deemed it satisfactory for racing. 

Ivy Isobel began awkwardly and was very slow to begin (2 lengths).  He Shall Enchant was slow to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Miss Ali and Super Shenron collided soon after the start.  Riccarton Rick checked off Colden Dayto approaching the first turn checking Equalizer.  He Shall Enchant checked off Miss Ali on the first turn.  He Shall Enchant and Miss Ali collided on the third turn checking Miss Ali.  He Shall Enchant, Ivy Isobel and Miss Ali collided entering the home straight checking Ivy Isobel and Miss Ali.  He Shall Enchant and Ivy Isobel collided approaching the winning post.  

Sharnee Rose was quick to begin.

Shall She Shine and Tyler Durden collided approaching the first turn.  Shall She Shine checked off Tyler Durden approaching the first turn.  Parumba Barty and Shall She Shine collided several times from the first turn to the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Polarising and Sharnee Rose collided on the third turn.  Polarising, Sharnee Rose and Zipping Bates collided approaching the home turn checking Sharnee Rose.  Tyler Durden and Rich Con collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Sharnee Rose and Rich Con collided in the home straight.  

Franco Fernando and Red Light Rico collided soon after the start.  Red Light Rico and Sonic Sensation collided soon after the start.  Red Light Rico and Sonic Sensation collided approaching the first turn.  Affair Bit checked off Sonic Sensation on the second turn.  Affair Bit checking off Franco Fernando on the third turn.

Dustification was quick to begin.  My Oh Fernando went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.

Chips An' Cheese checked off Remember Jimmy soon after the start.  My Oh Fernando and Jamo collided approaching the first turn.  Remember Jimmy checked off Incognito on the first turn; Remember Jimmy raced wide as a result.  Remember Jimmy lost ground on the third turn.  Remember Jimmy raced wide in the home straight.

Remember Jimmy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left fibula injury and an abrasion next to the right eye.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Gerry Orr, the representative of Remember Jimmy regarding its performance in this event.  Stewards queried the step up in distance from 311m and Mr.Orr explained that he believed the greyhound was fit enough to perform over the longer journey, however the run was inconclusive given the injuries sustained. Stewards accepted his explanation.

Pair Of Nines was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Mac's Mayhem, Parzival and Gypsy Hook collided approaching the first turn checking Parzival.  Parzival checked off Gypsy Hook on the first turn.  Cloncurry Girl, My Attitude and Gypsy Hook collided on the first turn checking Gypsy Hook.  Cloncurry Girl checked off My Attitude entering the back straight checking Parzival and Gypsy Hook; Parzival raced wide as a result.  My Attitude, Rollo Ragnar and Pair Of Nines collided approaching the home turn checking Rollo Ragnar and Mac's Mayhem.  

Weeona Roger and Sailing Shoes were slow to begin.

Horror Show and My Dewana Penny collided approaching the first turn.  Zipping Annabel and Weeona Roger collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Horror Show crossed to the outside on the home turn and raced wide.  Sailing Shoes crossed to the outside in the home straight checking Horror Show.

Tekki Nibbles was slow to begin.

Larrakeyah Lady, Blinken Billy and Lightning Blast collided soon after the start.  Sanctify crossed in on the first turn severely checking Mandalorian, Larrakeyah Lady, Lightning Blast and Sanctify; Mandalorian fell as a result and Larrakeyah Lady lost considerable ground.  

Mandalorian underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the top of the right hind paw.  No stand down period was imposed.

Larrakeyah Lady underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have slight bruising to the back of the right stifle and superficial abrasions to the top of both paws.  No stand down period was imposed.

Lightning Blast underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to both wrists.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Burn Time and Jayville Slick were slow to begin.

Burn Time, Aston Nova and Jayville Slick collided on the first turn checking Burn Time and Jayville Slick.  Stretch Butler and Fancy Francene collided on the first turn.  Who Cry Now and Jayville Slick collided on the second turn checking Jayville Slick; causing Jayville Slick to race wide.  Aston Nova checked off Jayville Slick on the fourth turn.

It's My Party was quick to begin.

Jai And Sauce and Ultimate Mac collided soon after the start checking Ultimate Mac.  Jai And Sauce and Zipping Whoopi collided on the first turn.  Jai And Sauce and Ultimate Mac collided approaching the home turn checking Jai And Sauce.

Swift Intention was quick to begin.

Fernando Frank and Yellowtail Bear collided approaching the first turn.  Fernando Frank and Finniss Vision collided on the first turn.  Yellowtail Bear checked off Finniss Vision on the fourth turn.

Yellowtail Bear underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds to the left hind paw as well a fracture to the left hind toe.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Romeo Lad was slow to begin.

Rosie Yaala and Expense Eve collided soon after the start.  Rosie Yaala checked off Jugungal Black soon after the start.  Expense Eve and Shifting Sands collided on the first turn checking Expense Eve which fell as a result.  Fourth Dimention checked off Patches Colour approaching the second turn.

Expense Eve underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Go Tango was slow to begin.

Grudge and Teardrop collided on the first turn checking Teardrop.  Teardrop and Dreamy Eyes collided on the second turn.  Cosmic Sparkle and Dreamy Eyes collided on the third turn checking Cosmic Sparkle.  Grudge and Teardrop collided approaching the winning post.
