Steward's Report
Yanderra Queen – Late scratching at 10:57am due to the greyhound not being presented in the required kennelling time (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr G.Couldridge was fined $100.
Riveredale Tommy was slow to begin. Tobin's Power and Our Flying Bolt collided soon after the start, checking Tobin's Power. Our Flying Bolt checked off Chump Agent approaching the first turn. Riverdale Tommy raced wide apporaching the first turn. Chump Agent visibly eased entering the home straight. Repossesion and Riverdale Tommy collided in the home straight.
Our Flying Bolt underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race three. Our Flying Bolt was found to have a back muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Chump Agent underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg toe sprain. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr G.Berry, the trainer of Chump Agent regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Chump Agent was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Berry pleaded not guilty to the charge, Chump Agent was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
