Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dr. Tobain. 

Aston Respect and Rylee's Boy collided soon after the start. Big Boy Marjen, Aston Respect and Dr. Tobain collided approaching the first turn checking Big Boy Marjen. Rylee's Boy and Big Boy Marjen collided on the first turn. Aston Respect and Dr. Tobain collided on the first turn severely checking Dr. Tobain which fell as a result, checking Silver Arapaho and Big Boy Marjen. Rylee's Boy and Aston Respect collided approaching the home turn severely checking Rylee's Boy. Rylee's Boy and Silver Arapaho collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. 

Dr. Tobain underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration and suspected left scapula fracture. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

Crackerjack Jaws – Stewards were satisfied with the boxing of the greyhound and removed the boxed first endorsement for future events in accordance with GAR 52.
