Steward's Report
Road Side Assist – New declared weight of 34.9kg, last raced at 32.9kg.
Dreamliner was slow to begin. Sky Rising faltered and tailed off approaching the first turn. Chatty Garry and Sin Dinero collided on the home turn. Road Side Assist marred Madame Duggie in the home straight checking Madame Duggie.
Sky Rising underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Road Side Assist underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Ms Belinda Glen, the trainer of Road Side Assist regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Road Side Assist was charged with marring. Ms Glen pleaded guilty to the charge, Road Side Assist is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Clovally Granite - the winner of the event.
