Steward's Report

Flying Solo was slow to begin. Crazy Old Fool was very slow to begin - 3 lengths.

Crazy Old Fool crossed to the outside soon after the start. Lights Of Tanjil and Inter Lana collided soon after the start. Inter Lana and Meehan Pebbles collided at the 200m mark. Lights Of Tanjil turned its head outwards at the 150m mark and crossed out. Lights Of Tanjil and Inter Lana collided at the 100m mark. Inter Lana and Meehan Pebbles collided approaching the 50m mark and again approaching the winning post.

Lights Of Tanjil underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration on the left hind leg, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr T. Whitford, regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 150m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Lights Of Tanjil was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr T. Whitford pleaded not guilty to the charge, Lights Of Tanjil was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
