Steward's Report
Butch Regis – New declared weight of 33.4kg, last raced at 31.9kg.
Gray Grey Goose and Nitro Gee were slow to begin.
Zipping Storm turned it's head and visibly eased soon after the start checking Limburg Patrick and severely checking Completed and Butch Regis. Zipping Storm and Completed collided on the first turn severely checking Completed. Butch Regis and Completed raced wide on the home turn. Zipping Storm turned it's head and visibly eased entering the home straight. Butch Regis raced wide in the home straight. Zipping Storm turned it's head and visibly eased approaching the winning post severely checking Gray Grey Goose.
Butch Regis underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have split right hind paw webbing. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Ms. L. Malcolm declined a veterinary examination for the greyhound Zipping Storm.
Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Malcolm, the handler of Zipping Storm regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Zipping Storm was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Malcom pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Storm is suspended for 12 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(c) before any future nomination will be accepted.
