Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Gardener's Boyo.
Gardener's Boyo, Step Aside and Dyna Carl were slow to begin. Oddjob Lad and Rod Vader collided entering the back straight checking Flash Fernando and severely checking Rod Vader who faltered and subsequently pulled up. Oddjob Lad and Kid Callum collided approaching the winning post.
Rod Vader underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture. Rod Vader was humanely euthanased.
