Darcy Rules was slow to begin.
Ready and Cullquin Elijah collided on the home turn. Darcy Rules and Chocolate Rocket collided entering the home straight. Ready marred Cullquin Elijah in the home straight. Chocolate Rocket checked off Darcy Rules in the home straight.
Ready underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J.Formosa, the trainer of Ready regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Ready was charged with marring. Mr. Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Ready is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
