Little Westie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 7. Little Westie was found to have injuries to the left groin and right hind calf muscles. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr D. Petersen the trainer, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Little Westie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Petersen pleaded guilty to the charge, Little Westie must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Moyarra Whiz, Vampire Vixen and Maximum Rhonda were quick to begin. Aston Talks was slow to begin.

Grudge and Dale's Jet collided on the first turn checking Grudge, Geller Allen and Shellbrook. Star Catcher and Micro Moo collided approaching the home turn checking Star Catcher. Micro Moo and Dale's Jet collided on the home turn. Star Catcher and Micro Moo collided approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds.

Aston Verve and Tampico collided soon after the start checking Aston Verve. Iceni Skye and Nitro Nicole collided soon after the start checking Iceni Skye. Tampico and Sweet Strike collided approaching the first turn checking Tampico. Nitro Nicole and Knocka Bott collided on the first turn checking Nitro Nicole, Sparkling Jewel, Aston Verve and Tampico. Knocka Bott and Sweet Strike collided several times from approaching the home turn to the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Iceni Skye underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind limb. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Hardaway Jayjay underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tarsal sprain. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
