Steward's Report
Crackerjack Des, Feelin' Seedy and Our Flying Kenny collided soon after the start. Our Flying Kenny and Feelin' Seedy collided approaching the first turn. Adriel and See Ya Mate collided on the first turn. Crackerjack Des turned its head and visibly eased towards Feelin' Seedy on the home turn and again in the home straight.
Feelin' Seedy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the greyhounds forehead and a spike wound under the left eye. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Crackerjack Des underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr J Mangion, the trainer of Crackerjack Des regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Crackerjack Des was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr J Mangion pleaded guilty to the charge, Crackerjack Des is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
