Steward's Report
Cheeky Jess was quick to begin.
Zipping Dusty was slow to begin.
Sheep Creek checked off Carter soon after the start. Cheeky Jess turned its head outwards approaching the first turn. Zipping Dusty and Sheep Creek collided on the home turn. Cheeky Jess raced wide on the home turn checking Infinite Will.
Cheeky Jess underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr J Buckley, the trainer of Cheeky Jess regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Cheeky Jess was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Buckley pleaded not guilty to the charge, Cheeky Jess was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Infinite Will underwent a post-race veterinary examination after an incident in the catching pen and was found to have a pelvic injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Sheep Creek underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
