Steward's Report

Hala Aussie – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from being seasonal.

Deering Danae – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from being seasonal.

Amber's Dolly was quick to begin. Deering Danae was very slow to begin (5 lengths). Emma's Not Happy checked off Amber's Dolly soon after the start. Deering Danae eased approaching the first turn. Amber's Dolly checked off Tight Tuesday approaching the first turn. Rival Natalie and Amber's Dolly collided on the first turn. Tight Tuesday and Hala Aussie collided approaching the home turn. Hala Aussie and Rival Natalie collided in the home straight. 

Deering Danae underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hip injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler Mr D.Boots, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Deering Danae was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Boots pleaded guilty to the charge, Deering Danae must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
